West Virginia: NICS Exemption Bill Passes House Judiciary Committee :: 01/31/2014

"...the bill language will be sent to the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) for further review. The review by BATFE should ensure that valid carry permit holders will be exempt from the national background check (NICS) when purchasing a firearm."

So, what did FOAC do this weekend? A few of us travelled to Harrisburg, and met with other grassroots organizations to discuss the actions that are necessary beyond just showing up at a rally. This of course was yet another prepatory visit in an effort to draw at least 30,000 like minded individuals to Harrisburg on 29 April 2014. Our meeting on Saturday went well into the night, adjourning around 9 P.M., and we want to thank the folks at Bass Pro Shops at the Harrisburg Mall for being wonderful hosts, and providing the meeting room.
