Backyard Gun Ranges are O.K. in Florida :: 03/07/2014

We read this article 3 times, and did some other research. The language in Florida's restrictive gun law that was recently removed allows homeowners to shoot in their backyards. Boy, would we like to be able to do this, but don't hold your breath. Pennsylvania municipal authorities can control "discharge of a firearm" and we don't see that changing anytime soon. Between school zones, safety zones, and screaming neighbors, we don't think the Florida model is coming here soon.

Connecticut getting tough on law abiding citizens who practice Civil Disobedience :: 02/26/2014

The State of Connecticut is now demanding that gun owners across the state turn in all newly-banned, unregistered firearms and magazines or face felony arrest. The State Police Special Licensing & Firearms Unit began mailing out notices to gun owners who attempted to register their firearms and accessories with the state but did not do so in time for the Jan. 1 deadline of Connecticut’s newly enacted gun control law.
