Spanish arrest that shows futility of gun control :: 08/14/2022
When the Department of Justice allowed files for 3D-printed guns on the internet, I commented that it was the end of gun control. Oh, you could pass all the laws you want, as various state legislatures and even Congress has illustrated, but even the little hope of making them work evaporated when people could produce firearms in the comfort of their living room.

CHEYENNE, WYO. -- Perhaps no midterm primary is getting more attention than that of Wyoming Rep. New York park that's home to 130,000 people will soon be a massive "gun-free zone" :: 08/12/2022
In his majority opinion in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas warned lawmakers not to try to declare the entire island of Manhattan a “sensitive place” off-limits to lawful concealed carry licensees, but he didn’t say anything about Adirondack Park, which is the biggest park in the lower 48 states and home to about 130,000 residents. Those folks, many of them gun owners already, are now in the crosshairs of the state’s post-Bruen restrictions on the right to carry, after the state legislature included the entirety of the park in its list of sensitive places where guns are banned outright.

Gun Owners on FBI’s Trump Raid: ‘We Told You So’ :: 08/10/2022
The FBI raid on President Donald Trump’s Florida home came as little surprise to the gun rights community. After all, the Department of Justice was weaponized against us the second the current occupants of the White House began measuring the drapes. Their agents have been running and gunning without any adult supervision ever since. So, it was only a matter of time before they became emboldened enough to raid a former President’s home – armed with weapons of war, no less.

The Bruen decision doesn’t leave a lot of room for gun control. However, it doesn’t go quite as far as I would have liked, either. After all, it does leave the door open for a small amount of anti-gun regulation.

Sinister move by ATF should serve as warning :: 08/09/2022
I’ve often talked about the animosity many in the gun community feel toward the ATF. It’s a real thing, after all, and the ATF doesn’t seem to care very much about how they’re perceived. Sure, they’ve tried to bust a few supposed myths, but beyond that? They’re not doing much to improve their image.
