Biden's Dangerous Black Friday Message to Gun Owners :: 11/24/2022

On Thanksgiving, we think about all the things we have to be thankful for in our lives. And if we are fortunate, we can sit down with our families to enjoy them and the day together. Unfortunately, with the high prices from Joe Biden’s inflation, our Thanksgiving is far more expensive and some are not even able to have the meal that they might normally have.

Virginia Democrat blames Republicans for Walmart shooting :: 11/23/2022

I was angry when I sat down to record today’s Bearing Arms’ Cam & Co. Angry at the cowardly killer in Chesapeake, Virginia who murdered six people and injured four others before taking his own life, primarly, but I’m also irate over the response from Democratic politicians from Joe Biden on down who have called for some vague and undefined gun control legislation that they promise could have prevented this attack.

Hochul & New York Ban Toy Guns Right Before Christmas ~ :: 11/22/2022

Kathy Hochul is suffering some major defeats in New York State. As hard as she tries to ban guns in the Empire State, the Supreme Court continues to punish her for violating the very people she represents. The New York State Rifle and Pistol Association defeat that she suffered seems to have caused more irrationally reactive behavior from the originally appointed Governor. In what seems to be a last-ditch effort to make her hatred for the 2nd Amendment known, Hochul has now decided to ban children’s toys right before Christmas.

Housing authority's new rules for gun owners invite legal challenge :: 11/22/2022

A couple of weeks ago we wrote about some proposed changes to the firearms policy on properties run by the Stratford, Connecticut housing authority; namely, a ban on openly-carried firearms as well as a new storage requirement for all guns and ammunition. The ban was proposed after a tenant supposedly “alarmed” his neighbors by lawfully and openly carrying his handgun for self-protection; an act not barred by either state law or housing authority policy.

Op-ed writers aren’t usually experts in all the topics they write about. They’re people who are tapped to write about what they think, but they’re usually not experts in all the many topics. They tend to filter an issue through prior understanding to reach new opinions on new issues.

Yes, the crime spike is real, and it's still here :: 11/20/2022

Generally, the news media has a “if it bleeds, it leads” mentality that can sometimes leave the impression that violent crime is more prevalent than it actually is. So it’s kind of weird to see ABC News take the opposite approach and argue that, actually, crime isn’t that bad, despite the fact that since 2020 we’ve seen a sharp increase and then a sustained plateau in many categories of violent crime.
