Magazine Ban Upheld By CO Supreme Court :: 06/30/2020

For some reason, anti-gunners seem to find it troubling if a firearm can carry “too many” rounds. I put that in quotes because, well, that number is completely arbitrary and varies from person to person to some degree. Federal Judge Strikes Down Jackson, MS Open Carry Ban :: 06/17/2020

When Jackson, Mississippi mayor Chockwe A. Lumumba instituted a temporary ban on the open carrying of firearms in the city back in April, he claimed it the move was both constitutional and necessary to stem rising violence on city streets. Lumumba believed that the state of emergency in Mississippi empowered him to enforce the week-long ban, even though the state’s  Attorney General  and the U.S. Attorney in Mississippi both publicly declared that Lumumba’s gun ban had no basis in state law.

FL Supreme Court Rejects Gun Ban Ballot Initiative :: 06/04/2020

A proposed ban on so-called assault weapons will not appear on the 2022 ballot in Florida, after the state supreme court issued a 4-1 decision stating that the language of the ballot initiative doesn’t meet the legal requirements to appear before voters. Organizers for the ban originally hoped to get the ballot before voters this fall, but failed to get enough signatures from Florida residents to qualify this year.
