As anyone who has an elementary school level education understands, our Founders established our federal government to have three branches—the Executive, Legislative, and Judiciary—each designed with their own duties, and also designed to act as a check on the others from trying to assert too much power.

CAUGHT! Biden Using Fake Data to Gaslight Americans on Mass Shootings...Again :: 05/20/2023

Most of Joe’s opus we’ve heard many times before. AR-15s are bad, so is anyone who owns one. Red flag laws and universal background checks will save the world. Congress needs to do more by banning “assault weapons” and standard-capacity magazines, and of course his ubiquitous: “For God’s sake, do something.”

'Ghost gun' bill won't help prevent crime, will create firearm registry :: 05/20/2023

“Ghost guns” sound scary. Who could want guns that no one could trace? Democrats in Nevada passed a law in 2021 making possessing or selling a gun without a serial number unlawful. Federal law already made it a felony for people to sell such a gun, but hobbyists could still make homemade guns for personal use.

Colorado’s Biofire swears they have made a functional “smart gun” but all my attempts to test it — whether to have them send one to me for review or to have me got to their facility to test it — have so far been denied or met with delays and/or silence.

Philly suburb threatened with lawsuit over anti-gun zoning restrictions :: 05/19/2023

The state of Pennsylvania has a pretty strong firearms preemption law on the books that forbids cities and townships from regulating the “lawful ownership, possession, transfer or transportation of firearms, ammunition or ammunition components”, but officials in the Philadelphia suburb of Lower Merion Township seemingly paid no attention to that statute when they approved sweeping new restrictions on gun stores earlier this year.

Spokesman for Maryland governor gives up the game on new carry restrictions :: 05/19/2023

Maryland’s new restrictions on lawful concealed carry have now been signed into law by Gov. Wes Moore, and the first lawsuits have already been filed over the new “sensitive places” and the new licensing requirements for concealed carry applicants. Moore’s spokesperson Carter Elliott IV has been doing a lot of press about the new law (and lawsuits), and during one interview with the Baltimore Sun, Elliott ended up giving the plaintiffs some new ammunition to use in their quest to bring the state in line with the Constitution and the Second Amendment’s protections.

NJ paper calls for boycott of businesses that aren't "gun-free zones" :: 05/18/2023

In the wake of a federal judge’s decision halting enforcement (at least for now) of many of New Jersey’s new “sensitive places” where concealed carry is prohibited, one of the state’s largest newspapers is calling on readers to boycott any business that allows concealed carry holders inside. The Star-Ledger editorial board has never been particularly friendly towards gun owners or the Second Amendment, but now they’re not even attempting to hide their outright hostility.

That Kaiser Gun Study The Media Love Is Garbage :: 05/18/2023

It’s become virtually impossible to find reliable data or polling on gun violence these days. A new Kaiser Family Foundation report being shared by virtually every major media outlet this week offers us a good example of why. The headlines report that “1 in 5 adults” in the United States claim that a “family member” has been “killed” by a gun. And, let’s just say, that’s a highly dubious claim.
