The Hill recently published an opinion by Griffin Dix allegedly exposing a “time bomb under President-elect Biden’s doormat.” The time-bomb wasn’t a bogus dossier, FBI agents lying in order to spy on Biden’s campaign, or a special counsel to investigate Hunter Biden. It was, rather, the appointment of renowned but controversial researcher John R. Lott Jr. as a senior advisor for research and statistics at the Office of Justice Programs at the Department of Justice.

GHOSTED: ATF Visiting End Users; Requesting Forfeiture Of Polymer80 Kits :: 12/13/2020

Earlier today TFB reported on a story in the Wall Street Journal stating that the ATF had apparently conducted a search warrant at Polymer80 Inc, a company known for producing 80% firearm kits and related parts. These 80% builds, often referred to as “Ghost Guns” by media outlets, presumably because they can be built into firearms without needing to visit an FFL, have long been a topic of debate. This morning, an anonymous TFB reader provided additional information pointing to the ATF visiting end users and requesting the forfeiture of certain Polymer80 kits.

Biden’s Anti-Gun Ambitions Face Tough Fight :: 12/12/2020

While the 2020 elections didn’t necessarily go the way Democrats had hoped–no much-anticipated “blue wave” to speak of–they do stand to hold significant power in the government come January. If you needed any more evidence that the ATF is getting ready for a crackdown on 80% frames and receivers, here it is. On Thursday, agents raided the offices of Polymer80, a Nevada company that manufactures both completed firearms as well as kits featuring unfinished frames and receivers that customers can turn into a firearm through their own efforts.

Judge Tosses Prosecutor From McCloskey Gun Case :: 12/10/2020

A St. Louis judge has ordered Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner and her entire office off of the prosecution of Mark and Patricia McCloskey, the St. Louis couple charged with unlawful use of a weapon after they displayed a rifle and pistol as hundreds of protesters trespassed through their private neighborhood as they made their way to the home of St. Louis mayor Lyda Krewson for a demonstration.

Texas legislator wants to diminish the right to home defense :: 12/10/2020

According to State Representative Terry Meza, Texans shouldn’t have the right to use lethal force when defending their homes. Meza filed HB 196 in anticipation of the Texas Legislature’s next session, dead set on repealing portions of Texas’ castle doctrine law.
