Standing for our rights is no "national shame" :: 07/24/2023
When it comes to our rights–not just gun rights, but any rights–is that a lot of people are really cool with curtailing them just so long as it’s not a right they like.

Gun-rights Group Issues Travel Ban for Massachusetts :: 07/22/2023
When the Second Amendment’s plain text covers an individual’s conduct [here, the right to bear arms], the Constitution presumptively protects that conduct.
vFPC Fight Back Against Government Attempt to Reinstate ATF’s “Frame or Receiver” Rule :: 07/22/2023
Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC) and FPC Action Foundation (FPCAF) filed a brief opposing the federal government’s motion for a stay pending appeal in VanDerStok v. Garland, which asks the Fifth Circuit to allow ATF to enforce its “frame or receiver” rule while the lawsuit continues–despite the fact that a federal court already found the rule to be an illegal usurpation of ATF’s congressionally limited authority. The brief can be viewed at FPCLegal.org.
Ammunition Scam Sites Are Infesting The Internet :: 07/21/2023
The old saying “buyer beware” has now been extended to the Internet age. There has been an epidemic of scams proliferating the World Wide Web, and the firearms community is not immune from criminals trying to separate people from their hard-earned dollars.
Experts "puzzled" by drop in Brazil's homicide rate amidst rise in gun ownership :: 07/21/2023
Former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro made loosening the nation’s restrictive gun control laws one of his administration’s top priorities, much to the chagrin of anti-gun advocates who warned that the country’s already sky-high homicide rates would get even worse if average citizens could keep and (in some cases) carry a firearm for self-defense.
Gun control-pushing bank is in a tight spot. Guess who banks there? :: 07/21/2023
The movement to destroy the Second Amendment is slow, methodical, and unrelenting. It covers everything from the news media to Hollywood, academia to the medical community, government branches and agencies at all levels. One aspect of that is the financial industry, wherein the push for a separate Merchant Category Code (MCC) for firearms retailers is the first baby step toward the creation of a gun owners registry. It may take decades, but none of that “progress” can happen without this first step.
Open Letter to Democrats: What’s Wrong with America Being Great, Again? :: 07/21/2023
When Congressman Jamie Raskin (D-MD) commented about the way so-called “MAGA Republicans” were pressing their investigation of Hunter Biden’s favorable treatment by the Justice Department in a June plea agreement, it was just the latest attempted smear of the opposing party and, by default, the millions of conservative citizens who believe this nation can be what Ronald Reagan called the “Shining City on a Hill.”
ATF back to its old tricks :: 07/20/2023
The ATF has never been particularly popular with gun enthusiasts. What started as a revenue collection agency has since become one of the most militarized law enforcement agencies in the nation. This militarization hasn’t worked out well for a number of people throughout the years.
Congressman Jamie Raskin Ripped For Calling Hunter Biden a ‘2A Rich Guy :: 07/20/2023
The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms is calling out anti-gun Democrat Congressman Jamie Raskin of Maryland for portraying Hunter Biden as a “rich guy exercising his Second Amendment rights” as an explanation for Biden’s purchase of a handgun while allegedly failing to admit his drug use on the federal Form 4473 he filled out.
Law professors goad police to use Qualified Immunity for gun confiscations :: 07/20/2023
Qualified Immunity is a controversial legal principle that “protects a government official from lawsuits alleging that the official violated a plaintiff’s rights, only allowing suits where officials violated a ‘clearly established’ statutory or constitutional right.” The bottom line for those of us who believe in civil liberties is that Qualified Immunity makes it very difficult to hold public officials accountable, especially police officers even in cases of horrific brutality, and it’s grating to think that this doctrine was invented by the Supreme Court in 1967.
Right to Arms in American Colonies Predated Bill of Rights :: 07/20/2023
New evidence has surfaced which indicates Englishmen in the American colonies had the right to keep and bear arms before the right was codified in England. In 1606, King James I granted perpetual rights to arms for the Virginia colonies, which covered what would become the southern colonies during the 1600s. From The History of Bans on Types of Arms Before 1900, by David Kopel and Joseph Greenlee, Law review article, 165 pages, 2021.

Sen. Chris Murphy Targets Military Gun Owners In Defense Bills :: 07/19/2023
It takes a certain amount of brazenness to put the responsibility of defending the nation on a young American and then, in the next breath, demand they forfeit those freedoms they are literally willing to die to protect.

Shannon Watts has a big problem with Jason Aldean's new song in praise of small towns :: 07/18/2023
On Saturday, country singer Jason Aldean dropped the music video to his new single “Try That in a Small Town”, and almost as quickly perpetually offended anti-gun activists like Shannon Watts were expressing their outrage; not because of any slights to big cities on the part of Aldean, but because he dared to sing about the unpopularity of gun control in rural America when just a few years ago he was at least somewhat supportive of Watts’ agenda.

FBI colluded with banks to monitor gun purchases :: 07/17/2023
The FBI is not a very popular organization these days with a lot of people. For many of us, the findings of the Durham Report were particularly troubling since the bureau basically went on a personal vendetta against a presidential candidate then continued it while he was president.
