LINCOLN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Troopers are investigating a shooting in Lincoln County.
West Virginia State Police troopers say they believe the shooting was in self-defense.
It happened in the 500 block of McCorkle Road in Sod, West Virginia.
Troopers were called out to the home around just after 8:30 p.m. Sunday for an alleged domestic incident.
Investigators say Jimmy Dale Armstrong III was fighting, both verbally and physically, with his parents.
According to the incident report, the father, Jimmy Dale Armstrong II shot his son in the leg in self-defense.
The son, Armstrong III, was taken to Thomas Memorial Hospital. Investigators believe his injuries are non-life threatening.
Troopers are still investigating. There's no word yet if charges will be filed.
