Nevada Self-Defense: Las Vegas police arrest man shot by homeowner Tuesday morning :: 07/05/2016

A homeowner shot and wounded a man who broke into his Summerlin home Tuesday morning.

Las Vegas police said the owner of a home in the 10600 block of Refectory Avenue, near Desert Inn Road and Town Center Drive, “encountered a man standing over him in his bedroom.” He shot the intruder and called police at 5:38 a.m.

The man who was shot tried to flee the home. He was arrested in the home’s backyard before being taken to University Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries.
