DETROIT (WXYZ) - Detroit police are investigating after a 75-year-old man shot and killed a home invader early Friday morning.
Police say it happened at a home in the 16300 block of Lyndon around 3:05 a.m.
According to police, the homeowner heard a noise at his back door and saw two teenagers break into his home near the kitchen.
The homeowner then fired a few shots, and one of the suspects was hit. He was later found dead in the backyard, according to police.
The second suspect reportedly ran away from the scene.
Both suspects are between 16 to 18-years-old.
