BALTIMORE - A bar employee shot an armed man who robbed several patrons Sunday morning, police said.
Police said early Sunday morning Randy Thomas, 24, and another suspect entered a bar in the 4800 block of Erdman Avenue armed with guns. The pair robbed several bar patrons at gunpoint, according to police.
An armed bar employee told Thomas he was calling the police. That’s when Thomas reached into the front pocket of his hoodie, possibly for a weapon. The employee fired his gun, hitting Thomas in the abdomen.
Thomas fled on foot arriving at Johns Hopkins Hospital sometime around 1 a.m.
Police said Randy Thomas has not yet been charged.
