Yesterday millions of people in the United States put on special glasses and looked up to the sky at the eclipse. Many people left work early, schools were off, and people prepared for weeks to arrange plans to travel to distant places to take part in this twice (maybe thrice) in a lifetime event. I too participated. My son and I back timed Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon and we sat and listened to the record and saw the eclipse in time with the music.
Once it was over… it was over.
Interestingly, some Governors declared states of emergency and various Government agencies were on standby… now, it’s all done and over. No long-lasting consequences.
I wonder, how many people will leave work early to vote and take part in our election? I wonder how many people will prepare and study the candidates and issues so that they can be an informed voter? I wonder how many folks that will be out of town on election day will bother to register for an absentee ballot?
The election WILL have long lasting consequences… yet millions of folks will simply not participate.
I wonder who will take a sick day to travel to Harrisburg to stand with other Pennsylvanians to show support for our 2nd Amendment and Article 1 Section 21 of the PA Constitution? Rallies are very important. They send a message to the government. When we were kids and we saw a parent or parental-figure watching us, maybe wagging a finger, we straightened up. The Rally is our opportunity to show the government that we are watching. Afterall, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed… right?
This last week, I spent time on the range with over 200 competitors at the NRA World Shooting Championship at Camp Atterbury, IN. This event draws people from across the country as well as around the world. Competitors use a variety of rifles, pistols, and shotguns (supplied by the sponsors) and shoot in multiple disciplines. All one needs to bring is eye and ear protection and a positive competitive spirit.
This is the 3rd WSC that I have personally attended. Each time I have had the opportunity to talk to people from other states and countries. Ultimately the conversations turn into “my state’s gun laws are worse than your state’s”. Or someone will say, “well at least I still can….” Or they will say, “well it could be worse”.
Most times when these conversations occur, someone visiting from another country will chime in and say, “I cannot even own a gun in my country, you should not take for granted the rights you are given. Do NOT let them take them away because you will never get them back once they are gone”.
Hmmm… rights you are “given”???? Well, in other countries the sovereign grants rights to their subjects. People who are born as “subjects” are bred to serve the sovereign… not the other way around. Well hell… American’s resist subjugation… don’t they? We are wired different… aren’t we?
Apathy is easy for many people to fall into once they become accustomed to restriction.
Think back just a few years ago, how many millions of regular everyday people accepted the restrictions of the government overreach-covid period and even helped to (implicitly or explicitly) enforce restriction on other everyday people? How many people said, “well there is nothing we can do about this now”?
How many people bitched about the restrictions with fervent distain but did absolutely nothing to push back against them?
There are many valuable lessons to be learned here.
We must not allow the government to have the ability to restrict us. If we leave the government unchecked, we give them the power to do what they want. Every election is a bloodless revolution. Remember, NOT voting is a vote cast for the winner.
The people alone have an incontestable, unalienable, and indefeasible right to institute government and to reform, alter, or totally change the same when their protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness require it.

You have the power to effect change by mobilizing those in your sphere of influence. Educate them and get them to the polls. Help them register to vote or apply for a mail in ballot.

April 19th is Patriot’s Day. I have written about this in the past. I would like to repurpose something from the October 3, 2022 FOAC-Institute newsletter.
On April 19th, 1775, the British military commander in North America, Genera Gage, sent soldiers and grenadiers on a midnight smash and grab mission. The goal was to “black bag” and detain rebel leaders and confiscate and/or destroy arms in Lexington and Concord, Massachusetts. Sam Adams (a prominent leader and organizer of the Sons of Liberty) and John Hancock (a wealthy businessman and financier of the rebel cause) were both in Lexington that night. Luckily for the cause, Paul Revere, William Dawes, and later Dr. Samuel Prescott, were able to warn Adams and Hancock as well as the Militia in Lexington and Concord before the Red Coats arrived.
That day American Colonists were fired upon and later opened fire on the British Regulars. Over the course of that day, 1000’s of free men, women, and children began the bloody process of convincing their government that they were indeed free people. The years following the shooting war, the founders of our nation put in place protections, guarantees, and processes so that “The People” could continue the American Revolution as free people without having to resort to bloodshed. TODAY WE ARE SQUANDERING THESE OPPORTUNITIES.
In a Constitutional Republic, “The People” choose who represents them. WHY are we not voting these tyrants out of office? Every election we SHOULD BE continuing the American Revolution, yet millions of gun owners and those that espouse the love of Liberty DO NOT VOTE! Millions of Americans do not know who their elected representatives are.
Folks the time is now.
We must mobilize our fellow Pennsylvanians NOW. We must show at the polls in DROVES and vote for the 2A and Article 1 Section 21. We are truly one bad election from turning into New York or worse.
We must not allow the government to have the ability to restrict us.
An armed and educated citizenry is the true check and balance in our Constitutional Republic and the ultimate homeland security. ACT ACORDINGLY.

FOAC-Institute is continuing to fight for the hearts and minds of our fellow Pennsylvanians to promote individual liberties and freedoms. We are steadfast and resolute and dedicated to protecting our Constitution and advancing the cause of the 2nd Amendment and Article 1 Section 21 of the PA Constitution.
FOAC-Institute’s educational efforts are expanding across the Commonwealth. FOAC-ILLEA volunteers are teaching more concealed carry classes each month and additional virtual education events are forthcoming.
FOAC-Institute is continuing to fight in the courts. Whether this means new litigation to challenge local tyrants, fight the bureaucrats that make it harder for Pennsylvanians to exercise their most basic rights, or the funding of amicus briefs to support others who are already involved in court battles, we are actively helping to establish case law that will help advance the cause of liberty.
FOAC-Institute volunteers research proposed legislation, consult with experts, and offer advice to elected officials about legislation as well as educate the public on the strength or folly of legislation that could have lasting positive or negative effects upon our liberty and the liberty of our children.
