Recently, due to COVID-19, a number of Pennsylvania Sheriff Departments, in violation of the law and their oaths, have notified residents that they will no longer process license to carry firearm (LTCF) applications, including renewals; thereby, preventing individuals who do not have an LTCF from being able to defend themselves in a time of need and subjecting those who do have an LTCF, but whose LTCF lapses, to criminal prosecution.

Export Reform Rules Take Effect After Anti-Gun States (Mostly) Strike Out in Court :: 03/17/2020

On March 9, President Trump’s historic Export Reform initiative officially got underway, as companion rules published by the U.S. Departments of State and Commerce took effect. These rules are aimed at modernizing America’s regime for exports of non-military firearms and ammunition and will promote both U.S. businesses and national security. An effort to block implementation of the rules by the attorneys general of 20 states and the District of Columbia largely failed, with the judge suspending only a narrow portion of the State Department rule that pertains to so-called “3-D printed firearms.”

CA Lawmaker Wants To Modify State Microstamping Law :: 03/16/2020

Any California gun owner will tell you that the state’s “microstamping” law has played havoc with their ability to purchase handguns since it was put on the books back in 2007. No new models of handguns have been made available for sale since, because manufacturers simply can’t comply with the law, which mandates each new handgun model in the state be able to imprint a unique identifying code on two separate locations of the cartridge of a bullet when the gun is fired.
