Voters Please Read. :: 11/08/2013

We voted in this 2013 General Election, and by luck, got Vic Stabile on the Superior Court. On the other hand, Mullen is still Sherrif. I took a look at the election results for School Director in Bethel Park, where 6 folks (including me) were chasing 4 open seats. The ballot results were precisely in accordance with ballot placement. Either that was completely coincidental, or voters looked at the machine, read the part that said vote for 4, and punched up the first 4 names.

We, as a PAC, like to think that our Voters Guides are looked at, and that our members and the gun owners in the area get out and vote. We're beginning to think that may not be the case. I'm not personally disappointed that I didn't get a seat on the School Board. Indeed, with HB 1189 breathing down upon us, now may be the worst time ever to be a School Director. I am, however, really sad that Mullen won in a walk away, and the Stabile race in Allegheny County was an awful failure.

So, we have some questions for you that are pretty easy to answer. Did you vote? If yes, did you just run down the list and pick off the "vote for 2" or "vote for 4"? Did you do even minimal research? Did you NOT vote for candidates you never heard of?

Are we taking you to task? You bet we are. There are polling places everywhere. If you did vote, thank you for that. We fear that with a 20% turnout that the majority of voters were very likely those who suck at the public teat. You'll have a chance in 2 years to vote in another LOCAL election. Politics all starts locally, and your vote actually does make a difference. If you didn't vote, don't complain about the Government you get.

Its abundantly clear that we are going to be ruled by a bunch of folks who are looking for freebies and handouts. If you work for a living, you might think about getting off the couch and going to the polls. Twenty percent? You have got to be absolutely angry about that.
