Five police agencies, including state troopers, searched the Tech campus for several hours Thursday after three teenage girls reported seeing a man carrying a gun near a dining hall. No sign of the man was found.
Similarly, Christiansburg police, assisted by Montgomery County sheriff's deputies, searched Thursday for a man reported to be carrying a holstered gun near the health department on Pepper Street. They found a man carrying a cellphone on his hip.
