A big thumbs up to Attorney General Pam Bondi for her due diligence in safeguarding the rights of good guys and girls who lawfully own a firearm for personal protection. A recent news article entitled, DOJ Will Not Target Law-Abiding Gun Owners Anymore considered what to do with the ATF as recommended by the US Department of Justice under her leadership. I found the article to be tastefully done, appropriately timed and necessary. 

Being a police officer for over 44 years, I am proud of the new direction of the US Department of Justice and the new duties put forth within the department that make sense! There is a reason why our founding fathers were so brilliant in devising the original 10 amendments in the Bill of Rights! It was to protect each and every one of us from a tyrannical government. This is why we settled in America and away from British rule. A lot of the laws we know today come from Old English common law. 

The Second Amendment is an amendment to the United States Constitution that protects the right to keep and bear arms. It was ratified on December 15, 1791, along with nine other articles of the Bill of Rights. The amendment provides a constitutional check on congressional power under Article I Section 8. It specifically states – “A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”

The ATF is the specific enforcement arm of the federal government charged with regulating firearms, who, for the past four years under the Biden administration, have run afoul by creating their own rules that are constitutionally challenging to say the least. They often went unchecked and victimized good law-abiding citizens, and Attorney General Bondi agrees that enough is enough. Under her administration, the weaponizing of the Justice Department will be no more, supported by a strong president and his administration, who are taking back America and restoring the strengths and freedoms of all citizens that were lost under the Biden administration. 

The new Justice Department is off to a great start with heroes like Tom Homan, the new “Border Czar,” hitting the ground running, leading the charge, and not backing down from the perverse views of liberal progressive Democrats. Thanks goes to all of law enforcement, who go to work every day knowing they just may not come home at the end of their shift. They are assisting in getting rid of the scum that came over during an opportune time to take advantage of the citizens of this great country under the Biden administration. Many of these criminal illegal aliens commit crime after crime – raping, killing and kidnapping innocent Americans. 

I was pleased to watch recently on the news that gang members consisting of two dangerous top MS-13 leaders plus 21 of its most wanted were being flown back to face justice in El Salvador along with 238 Venezuelan street gang members of Tren de Aragua being deposited in one the strictest prisons in the world in El Salvador. Yet these same progressive Democrats here in the US protested their capture as a civil rights’ violation and not being afforded due process. How absurd and disgusting this is. My heart breaks for the families of the victims who lost their lives or who were traumatized by these gang members.

Too many leftist politicians have gone so far as to portray these criminals to the public as victims who have had their right of due process taken from them. In reality, these are some of the most dangerous, out of touch, horribly un-American and self-serving politicians we have ever seen. We were weakened through the weaponization of the Justice Department against us so the progressives could secure illegal votes to hold on to their political power. But no longer do we have to feel unsafe to go out to our favorite spots with our families. We can enjoy the freedoms and liberties that the oppressive left took away from us by allowing ill-intentioned illegals to enter and remain in our country, victimizing all within reach. 

This isn’t new behavior for progressive democrats both then and now. During the Carter administration, Cuba was permitted to purge their country of the criminals from their jails along with the mentally-ill from their asylums, who then flooded Miami and other cities in the United States. Americans have had enough, spoke out and were heard on November the 5^th, 2024.

Thank God we have the current administration with the strength of Attorney General Bondi leading the fight through the leadership of President Trump to make America great again by reclaiming it as a special place to live. We have our forefathers to thank for the Bill of Rights and their vision to make America exceptional even back in our infancy. They had the vision to protect us with the law of the land – the US Constitution. 

I’ve got some bad news for leftists: There is a new sheriff in town – he is the 47^th President of the United States of America. His name is Donald J. Trump and he is their worst nightmare. God Bless America!
