WEST JACKSON -- A man prevented an attempted armed robbery Thursday night when he fired his gun in self-defense, according to police.
Jackson police are looking for two suspects after the incident took place in the 800-block of East Lafayette Street around 10:45 Thursday night.
The victim told police that as he walked out of his house, someone yelled "get him." He then saw two people, one with a gun. He said that both suspects ran away when he fired his gun in self defense.
One suspect is described as a wearing a black hoodie with an orange bandanna over his face. The other suspect is described as wearing a black hoodie with an orange Houston Astros symbol and a hunting mask over his face.
