Store Posts "No Guns" Sign after Armed Customer Saves Manager being Stabbed :: 07/23/2014

This is one of the dumbest things I’ve read in a long time, except for anything that Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid say.

On March 12, 2014, 29 year old Lamont Williams walked into Keith’s Superstore in Lumberton, Mississippi. He had a knife when he confronted the store manager whose name has been withheld. Williams began stabbing the manager when a shopper with a concealed carry weapon pulled his gun and stopped the attack. Williams tried to flee the store, but the armed citizen managed to hold him at gunpoint until the police arrived. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The entire incident was captured on the store video surveillance. It showed the stabbings and the timely intervention of the armed shopper who has only been identified as a white male in his 30s. No shots were fired, but the presence of the legal weapon most likely saved the life of the store manager who was treated for eight stab wounds to his neck, chest and arm.
At the time, there were no signs barring guns from the store premises, but that has been rectified according to the store owners who have now posted a sign reading ‘No Guns Allowed.’

Does this make any sense to you?
Had the store had the sign posted prior to the incident, there’s a good chance that the store manager would now be 6 feet under instead of walking around at work. If I was the manager, I would question the management’s decision to post the sign, asking why they are openly risking his life and the life of all the store employees.

It’s a clear example of how personal agenda’s become more important than the lives and safety of people. This is very characteristic of a socialist government where people are considered to be of little value and expendable. They believe the state is more important than the people it governs.

I strongly urge anyone in the Lumberton, Mississippi area to contact the store and tell them that they have lost your business until they allow conceal carry weapons in the stores. Tell them that the lives and safety of their employees and shoppers are important and need to be protected. I wonder what the store would do if it lost 20%-50% of their business because of their no gun policy? Quite often that’s the only thing they listen to.
