Pennsylvania Self-Defense: Would-be victim shoots alleged robber :: 01/12/2017

OLNEY (WTXF) - A man is in the hospital after police say he tried to rob the wrong guy in Olney, overnight.

The alleged victim said he'd left a Chinese takeout restaurant when he was slugged and chased.

That's when fired his legal gun, which he was was licensed to carry, and he’s claiming the shooting was self-defense.

He had good aim. He struck the 19-year-old multiple times, including in his leg.

It happened just before 11:30pm Tuesday along the 4900 block of N. 5th Street.

FOX 29’s Steve Keeley reports the shooter stayed at the scene until police and paramedics showed up.

The alleged robber is reported in stable condition.
