Pennsylvania Self-Defense: Police: Homeowner Fires At 'Stalker' :: 02/21/2018

A man is in jail after allegedly assaulting and harassing a couple.

Police believe 30-year-old Ryan Bigler of Valencia has been stalking two victims, a husband and wife from Winfield, since mid-January. The couple told police Bigler has sent them text messages which contain pictures of guns threatening to harm them. They also allege he has followed them in a vehicle.

One of the victims told police on Saturday night, he saw Bigler inside a vehicle as he returned home. The victim said as he was walking up his driveway towards his home, Bigler drove towards him like he was going to hit him, according to court documents.

The victim told police he feared for his life so he pulled out a gun and fired two rounds. Police have not charged the victim and believe he acted in self defense.

Bigler was not shot. He remains in the Butler County Prison without bail.
