GRESHAM, OR (KPTV) - A home invasion victim fought back against four intruders, shooting and killing one of them, at a Gresham mobile home park Saturday night, according to police.
Police were called to the Rolling Hills Mobile Terrace and RV Park, 20145 N.E. Sandy Blvd., at 10:15 p.m. after numerous neighbors reported hearing gunshots.
More than a dozen officers arrived at the scene and found multiple people injured.
Investigators said four men entered a mobile home and attacked a 34-year-old man inside. Police said the man fought back, grabbed a pistol and shot two of the suspects.
One, a 25-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second suspect who was shot, a 16-year-old, was taken to the hospital for treatment. His condition was not known Sunday.
A third 24-year-old suspect was stabbed during the incident and was treated and released from the hospital.
A fourth suspect, who is 17 years old, was uninjured. Police described all the suspects as Hispanic males.
The two suspects not in the hospital were expected to be criminally charged Sunday.
They were identified as Jesus Bucio, 24, and Leonard Chavez, 17. Chavez is facing the Measure 11 charge of first-degree assault, as well as first-degree burglary.
Police said Bucio was booked in jail on an unrelated probation violation, but charges are expected for him in connection to this case, as well.
The victim in this incident was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening stab wounds and was released after receiving treatment.
Detectives with the East County Major Crimes Team are leading the ongoing investigation and believe the suspects specifically targeted the victim.
