Tuesday night's edition of Fox News' The O'Reilly Factor revealed just how far Obama administration apologists will go to deflect public attention from the growing scandal that is Operation Fast and Furious: it's the National Rifle Association's fault.
Fox contributor and liberal Left spokesman Alan Colmes appeared on Bill O'Reilly's "Between Barack and a Hard Place" segment to discuss the Fast and Furious case, and halfway through the discussion, he suggested the NRA might be at least partly responsible by opposing the appointment of a permanent director of the embattled Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. It's the NRA's fault that an acting director, Kenneth Melson, has been in command since 2009. (Preposterous? Ask Colmes, it was his suggestion.)
