Michigan Self-Defense: Victim Shoots and Kills 16 yr old would be Thief at Roseville Car Wash :: 09/02/2021

ROSEVILLE, MI – A 16-year-old alleged would be thief from Detroit was shot and killed by a 30-year-old Roseville man who was targeted at the Wash Pointe Car Wash located at 26015 Gratiot Ave.

On September 1st, 2020, at approximately 7:00pm, the victim was at the Wash Pointe Car Wash when the 16-year-old boy and another, currently unknown, suspect tried to either rob the victim or possibly tried to carjack him. Both suspects were armed.

What the two thieves did not take into consideration was that the victim might be armed which he was. Gunshots were exchanged where the 16-year-old was shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.
