Detroit -- A shooting early Saturday left a 40-year-old man dead after he went armed with a rifle to the home of another man, police said.
The man, who police did not identify, was shot multiple times around 12:10 a.m. in the 15000 block of Muirland after he arrived with a rifle at the home of a 44-year-old man who is accused of shooting him with a handgun, police said. Police said the circumstances leading up to the fatal altercation remain under investigation.
Meanwhile, a few hours later in an unrelated incident, a 21-year-old man suffered a gunshot would to the thigh around 6:30 a.m. in the area of McNichols and Lamphere.
Police describe the victim as being uncooperative but he has told investigators he was at a block party when he heard gunshots and felt a pain in his thigh. He was driven to a hospital by a friend where he is listed in stable condi
