Florida Self-Defense: FL man shoots neighbor in self-defense then drives the body to his lawyer's office :: 03/07/2015

When an argument between two neighbors in Fort Myers, Florida, became physical, one man ended up dead from an apparent gunshot wound, but instead of calling the police, the man who fired the fatal shot threw his neighbor’s dead body in the back of his pickup truck and drove some 25 miles to his lawyer’s office.

52-year-old John Marshall said he didn’t know who else to trust after the altercation, but once he arrived, Robert Harris, the man’s attorney, called the police.

Marshall was detained for several hours before he was released and went to the hospital to be treated for a swollen lip, missing tooth and two broken thumbs. Marshall said during the altercation, which stemmed from a disagreement over a building project on the man’s property, he wrestled a gun away from his neighbor after he was pistol whipped in the face.

At this point, Marshall has not been charged, as it appears he acted in self-defense.
