Feds preparing criminal corruption charges on gun-grabber Democrat :: 03/09/2015

New Jersey Democratic Senator Robert Menendez is the subject of a Department of Justice investigation expected to result in criminal corruption charges, CNN reported Friday. Attorney General Eric Holder has reportedly signed off on the prosecutor’s request to proceed with the case against the career politician for allegations “he used his Senate office to push the business interests of a Democratic donor and friend in exchange for gifts.”

Menendez is the latest in a long line of Democrats pushing for more edicts to disarm law-abiding Americans while appearing to be engaging in criminal activities. Rated “F” by the National Rifle Association and “F-“ by Gun Owners of America, a review of his “On the Issues” profile for “gun control” shows why:

Despite coming from one of the most heavily-controlled states in terms of gun laws, Menendez supports even further restrictions, and on a national level. As such, he supported a ban on magazines holding more than 10 rounds, and sponsored a bill to ban so-called “large capacity feeding devices.”

He voted against allowing guns to be transported in checked baggage on Amtrak, something even gun-owning airplane passengers may do (unless they have the misfortune of landing in Menendez’s home state at the Orwellian-named Newark Liberty Airport and circumstances force a layover and you make the mistake of collecting your luggage).

He voted “No” on prohibiting the use of U.S. foreign aid “by international organizations, agencies, and entities (including the United Nations) that require the registration of, or taxes guns owned by citizens of the United States.”

He voted “No” on prohibiting lawsuits against gun manufacturers, importers and dealers for product misuse and criminal abuse of their products. And he voted :No” on reducing waiting periods from three days to one on a gun show dealer instant background check bill, further voting to end private sales at those venues.

So it should come as no surprise he's just the kind of politician who gets endorsed by the Brady Campaign.

And it's also no surprise Menendez worked toward amnesty for illegal aliens, to help create a "pathway to citizenship" that would result in millions of Democrat and anti-gun-leaning voters, who would help "decide who is in charge of this country for the next 20 or 30 years."

Perhaps this latest development explains why Menendez does not have confidence in others to behave in a way that does not abuse trust. Perhaps, considering the mentality of anyone who would willingly give such a politician political power over them, he has a point, at least with his supporting constituents.

As with so many anti-gun politicians, including no shortage of Bloomberg mayors, and most recently, the husband of a former MAIG coalition member alleged to have tried to get a hit man to whack two little girls he’d been convicted of molesting, the hostility to others having guns becomes more understandable. And as with so many who espouse “gun control” and then get caught breaking bad, if Menendez is tried and convicted, he’ll get the chance to experience first-hand what it’s like to be prohibited from owning a gun by laws he helped impose on the rest of us.
