Who exactly do these people work for?
There are elected officials, appointed bureaucrats, and alphabet agency payroll minions that are attacking freedom loving and self-sufficient Americans while at the same time going out of their way to empower criminals and non-citizens.

Currently the Biden administration is threatening the State of Texas for taking measures to secure its own border while at the same time, he is using executive fiat to try and force states to pass laws that would criminalize citizens who did not lock up their firearms in a manner specified and dictated by “the government”. The Biden administration no more recognizes a state’s right to defend itself than he recognizes YOUR right to defend yourself.
Don’t think the unfettered access to our country by millions of illegal immigrants via the southern border is not related to your 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms for self-defense is not connected? Well think again!
Hey, remember back in January 2021? The federal government had no problem using razor wire and guns to protect the elected class in Washington D.C.
25 Governors announced their support of Texas’ right to protect its borders. 27 States support your right unrestricted right to carry without government permission and scrutiny (Permitless/Constitutional Carry). Interestingly enough, let’s compare the 2 lists.
These States stand for a State’s right to defend its own border (formally signed a letter in support of Texas’s ability to secure its own border):
These States have Constitutional Carry/Permitless Carry.
It is important to note that South Carolina is discussing the passage of Constitutional/Permitless Carry as we speak. These lists do not illustrate a 1:1 direct correlation, however it does show show that there appears to be 2 ways of looking at things these days in the US of A.
Some think that individuals and States have a natural born right to self-defense… self-sufficiency.
Other folks think the federal government and by proxy those that are in alliance with the controlling ethos of the current administration, bestow and therefore limit your rights in a manner that the elected class deem as appropriate…. CONTROL.
The Pennsylvania Constitution clearly states in Article 1 Section 21:
21. Right to bear arms.
The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned.
As every elected official in the State Legislature, swear an OATH to uphold and OBEY the PA Constitution then it should be a slam dunk for all self-sufficient Pennsylvanians. ALL elected officials should be on board with the citizens unrestricted ability to protect themselves and those that they love… RIGHT??

Do you know what article VI section 3 of the Pennsylvania Constitution says?
3. Oath of office.
Senators, Representatives and all judicial, State and county officers shall, before entering on the duties of their respective offices, take and subscribe the following oath or affirmation before a person authorized to administer oaths.
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support, obey and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of this Commonwealth and that I will discharge the duties of my office with fidelity."
The oath or affirmation shall be administered to a member of the Senate or to a member of the House of Representatives in the hall of the House to which he shall have been elected.
Any person refusing to take the oath or affirmation shall forfeit his office.
That is a slam dunk for Liberty and the unrestricted individual right to protect yourself and those that you love… RIGHT?
DON’T THINK SO FAST!
Right around one half of the PA House is actively questioning your individual right to self-defense on a DAILY BASIS.
As of today there have been 53 anti-gun bills proposed in the PA House during this legislative session and seven have actually passed and have been sent to the PA Senate. Four bills call for an Article V Constitutional Convention and 49 directly question your right to bear arms in defense of yourself and the State. FOAC-Institute sees the calling for an Article V Constitutional Convention as an anti-gun proposal as it potentially gives elected officials the ability and means to re-write the 2nd Amendment. That is NOT a good idea.
The following Bills have seen traction. HB714 and HB1018 have PASSED the house and will hopefully die in the Senate…. HOPEFULLY. The others have successfully made it through the House Judiciary Commitee and are lying in wait to be potentially brought to a floor vote.
House Bill 1018 – Establishes Extreme Risk Protection Orders which allow judges to order the temporary confiscation of a person’s personal property (firearms) if they are found or alleged to be a danger to themselves or others.
House Bill 714 – Universal Background Checks on all guns sold in the Commonwealth including long guns. This bill eliminates private sales without doing a background check through an FFL.
House Bill 335 - An effort to outlaw binary triggers and bump stocks or slide fire devices. The anti-gun crowd amended the original bill to remove any exceptions or grandfathering of already possessed devices and reported the bill as amended. This again?
House Bill 336 - An all-out assault on the mythical "assault weapon" by naming most semi-automatic sporting rifles and many semi-automatic pistols as "assault weapons" and outlawing any future sales of these guns. Includes defining "large capacity magazines" as any device capable of holding more than ten rounds. Surely setting the stage for future tyranny.
House Bill 777 - A ban on unserialized frames, receivers, "do-it-yourself" kits, and other components used to privately manufacture firearms, labeling them the fictional title of "ghost guns" to vilify a tradition of private manufacture that goes back to before the birth of our nation. Even King James approved of colonists privately manufacturing firearms, and yet here we see Democrats pushing to outlaw our fundamental right to self-defense.
House Bill 1157 - A bill aimed at forcing a faster reporting of mental health adjudication, treatment, commitment, drug use or addiction, setting a maximum delay of four days. This bill fails to even acknowledge that two recent decisions in Federal courts have struck down the section 302 commitment from barring possession of firearms. Both cases represented by our attorney Joshua Prince, Esq. found the 302 commitment insufficient due to a lack of adjudication of the matter and lack of due process.
House Bill 1190 - An effort to ban all 3D printed firearms from private manufacture, requiring a license to manufacture firearms to use this technology. Also a requirement to serialize such firearms, even when manufactured for personal use. Another attack on the private manufacture of firearms, instilling fear in the common citizen by convincing them these firearms are somehow responsible for the acts of criminals or that these laws will somehow stop criminals from breaking other laws.
If elected officials are so hell bent on openly questioning your individual right to bear arms in defense of YOURSELF and the State, have these elected officials openly violated their oath to OBEY the PA Constitution? If refusing to take the oath is a reason for forfeiture of office, wouldn’t breaking the oath also be a reason for forfeiture of office?
Seems logical to me!
But unfortunately, on the floor of the House the elected class gets to be their own arbiter of “Constitutional-ness”. Did you know that when challenged, the PA House floor votes on whether a bill violates the Pennsylvania Constitution or NOT before they vote on the bill.
There is power in numbers!
Imaging a world where the fans get to decide whether the calls of the ref are good or not. That is basically what happens on the floor when the mob rule of the anti-gun majority gets to be its own barometer… perhaps we can call it a BarackObarometer? Sorry folks… I couldn’t resist.
Who exactly do these people work for?
Not me… and not you if you believe in our Constitutional Republic and the unrestricted individual right of the people to keep and bear arms in defense of themselves, those that they love and the State. Not you if you strive to be self-sufficient.
Whose fault is it that we find ourselves in this predicament?
We The People are at fault. We have let them take control. We have stayed silent too long. We have remained apathetic too long. We have expected someone else to do the work for too long. We have believed that our vote does not count. We have decided to “not talk to those damn politicians” and let them do whatever they want.
We can not do this again…. We must not let our friends, family, colleagues, neighbors, and anyone in our sphere of influence do this either. We ALL MUST VOTE in the next election. Because this time we may not only be voting against those that stand lock step with the gun control elected class, but we may also be voting against millions of clandestine votes from millions of illegals flooding into our country through our porous southern border.
We The People have the ultimate power in our Constitutional Republic. Act accordingly.

It has been a busy year thus far and we are only a month into 2024. Last week Jim and I visited Shot Show in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada. Jim was making connections for corporate donations to help fund our legal actions, and he was also taking advantage of the opportunity to spread the good news of FOAC-Institute through various national pro-gun media outlets. I was doing the same and also creating content for my podcast/YouTube show, Meet The Pressers.

This weekend my Son, Augie and I ventured to Harrisburg to offer comment at the PA Game Commissioners meeting. I spoke on behalf of Allegheny County Sportsmen’s League but took part of my 5 minutes to speak on behalf of FOAC-Institute re: semi Auto centerfire for hunting big game. Now I have said, Firearms Owners Against Crime Institute for Legal, Legislative and Educational Action about 5 thousand times since we bifurcated the organization. Recently it was decided that for brevity’s sake, we would refer to ourselves as FOAC Institute. Well, my brain got tongue tied when I said FOAC-I…… and I messed up our organizations name. I could feel the ghost of Kim Stolfer jeering at me from above, but I continued. Other than that, it was a pretty good speech. You can see the video of my comment by CLICKING HERE.
I thank all of the volunteers that have stepped up to staff the FOAC-Institute booth at the GAOS in Harrisburg from February 3-11. I hope you all will come by and visit the booth in the Shooting Sports hall and say hello!

FOAC-Institute is continuing to fight for the hearts and minds of our fellow Pennsylvanians to promote individual liberties and freedoms. We are steadfast and resolute and dedicated to protecting our Constitution and advancing the cause of the 2nd Amendment and Article 1 Section 21 of the PA Constitution.
FOAC-Institute’s educational efforts are expanding across the Commonwealth. FOAC-ILLEA volunteers are teaching more concealed carry classes each month and additional virtual education events are forthcoming.
FOAC-Institute is continuing to fight in the courts. Whether this means new litigation to challenge local tyrants, fight the bureaucrats that make it harder for Pennsylvanians to exercise their most basic rights, or the funding of amicus briefs to support others who are already involved in court battles, we are actively helping to establish case law that will help advance the cause of liberty.
FOAC-Institute volunteers research proposed legislation, consult with experts, and offer advice to elected officials about legislation as well as educate the public on the strength or folly of legislation that could have lasting positive or negative effects upon our liberty and the liberty of our children.
