We are 2 weeks out from Christmas and the Grinch of gun control slinks through the halls at all levels of government. FOAC-Institute is vigilant and hard at work defending the 2A and Article 1 Section 21 of the PA Constitution from the anti-gun forces in Harrisburg and across the Commonwealth. However, gun owners cannot take the “someone else is dealing with this” approach.
Everyone MUST do their part.
When have you last contacted your elected officials? When have you last educated a family member, friend, neighbor, or co-worker about how important the 2A is and without it all of the other “rights” fall to the whims of tyrants? When is the last time you vetted a candidate and voted for them based upon their “Pro” stance on the 2A?
As we enter into an election year, make it your goal to motivate 5-10 fellow Pennsylvanians to register to vote and vote for pro-gun / anti-crime candidates!
When gun owners say, “I ain’t voting because my vote don’t count”…. The tyrants win! That is what THEY want you to think!
FOAC Institute will be involved with voter registration events in 2024, but if EACH of us get 5-10 folks to vote and vote pro-gun… we might be able to take back some of the ground we lost in the last election cycle.
If we work together, Liberty can prevail. If we let “someone else do it” we risk another bad election cycle. If we have another bad election cycle… we will be just like NY, MD, NJ, MA, and CA in a matter of months. We MUST not let the gun grabbing tyrants in Harrisburg gain complete control of the House, Executive branch and the Senate.

Ladies and gentlemen, the anti-gun crowd is at it again trying to push several anti-gun / anti-Constitution bills through the judiciary committee this week! Most likely starting tomorrow.
This is a call to action!
Contact your state representative today and express to them your opposition to HB335, HB336, HB483, HB777, HB1157, HB1190, and HB 1859!
Tell them ALL OF theses anti-gun bills must be stopped IN JUDICIARY and Rep. Briggs must NOT run these bills!
Call Rep. Briggs' Harrisburg office 717-705-7011, and his King of Prussia office 610-768-3135 and tell him that advancing these bills is treason and must NOT be done!
Let your state reps hear your voice! I've already made my calls... NOW IT IS YOUR TURN!

Recently, at the FOAC-ILLEA / USCCA Gun Law Seminar in Pittsburgh, one of the attendees, asked me specifically about air travel with firearms. I gave her the “10,000-foot view” answer and then said, “I will write a blog post about it!”
Traveling with a firearm is do-able thing and is not as hard as you may think. However, the devil is in the details. The laws surrounding travel with firearms can be rather tricky. You must know the laws of where you are, traveling through, and traveling to. It is a tall order but can be done.
Whether you are traveling inside Pennsylvania, across multiple states in your car, or flying to far off destinations, you need to do some planning, maybe purchase some infrastructure, and do your homework.

The program is called Protecting Yourself Physically, Legally, and Financially in Pennsylvania.

2024 Great American Outdoor ShowFOAC Institute will have a booth at the 2024 GAOS! We will be in the Shooting Sports Hall at booth #786. We are in a pretty good spot. This is a 9-day event and we need volunteers to man (or woman) the booth EACH DAY.
We will schedule out days and times for folks to work the booth. President Jim Stoker will be there for a number of days TBD, and VP Klint Macro is teaching seminars on the 9th, 10th, and 11th and will be at the booth on those days as well.

In ClosingWe are 2 weeks out from Christmas. Many of you may already be celebrating Hannukah. Some of you might be celebrating Festivus. Whatever you celebrate, be sure to celebrate it with friends and family. Take time to fellowship with people you care about. What we experience together is much more valuable than the “things” give.
The FOAC-ILLEA newsletter typically comes out on the Monday of the 2-week cycle. The next edition of the newsletter will come out a day or 2 late because of the holiday.
Hug your loved ones, share stories of the elders with the young ones. Eat an extra plate of food. Maybe take a container of food to the homeless dude down the road. Take a family member to the range and teach them gun safety and show them how fun it is to shoot!
Most importantly, remember what these holidays are REALLY about and celebrate.
Don’t let the Grinch(s) in Harrisburg destroy your right to keep and bear arms!

FOAC-Institute is continuing to fight for the hearts and minds of our fellow Pennsylvanians to promote individual liberties and freedoms. We are steadfast and resolute and dedicated to protecting our Constitution and advancing the cause of the 2nd Amendment and Article 1 Section 21 of the PA Constitution.
FOAC-Institute’s educational efforts are expanding across the Commonwealth. FOAC-ILLEA volunteers are teaching more concealed carry classes each month and additional virtual education events are forthcoming.
FOAC-Institute is continuing to fight in the courts. Whether this means new litigation to challenge local tyrants, fight the bureaucrats that make it harder for Pennsylvanians to exercise their most basic rights, or the funding of amicus briefs to support others who are already involved in court battles, we are actively helping to establish case law that will help advance the cause of liberty.
FOAC-Institute volunteers research proposed legislation, consult with experts, and offer advice to elected officials about legislation as well as educate the public on the strength or folly of legislation that could have lasting positive or negative effects upon our liberty and the liberty of our children.

An Armed and Educated Citizenry is the true check and balance in our Constitutional Republic and the ultimate homeland security!
