A Connecticut man was able to break away from the home invaders who ambushed him outside his home Saturday night, retrieve his own gun inside his home, and save his family:
Two Lawrence men are in critical condition after being shot during an apparent home invasion in Hartford, Connecticut Saturday night, according to city police.
Police said they responded to calls of a home invasion in progress at 109 Tredeau St. just before 11 p.m. Saturday night.
Upon arrival, police said they found one male with gunshot wounds to the head and torso, who was immediately transported by ambulance to Hartford Hospital for surgery.
Before him, another male with gunshot wounds to the right arm and chest arrived in a private vehicle and entered surgery as well.
The victim of the home invasion suffered minor injuries and told police he was approached outside his home by two men, one of whom put a gun to his head and forced him to open the door.
Once inside, the homeowner was able to get away from the intruders, grab his own firearm, and wound the two suspects.
Hartford Police declined to identify the two home invasion suspects Sunday night, only confirming they were from Lawrence and that an investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
Connecticut’s anti-gun, anti-liberty prosecutors were presumably disappointed to find out that the home owner had all of his paperwork in order, and that he can’t be charged for defending himself and his family.
