Once outside, the 70-year-old homeowner found a suspect trying to break inside with a crowbar.

Deputies arrived within four minutes of receiving the call and arrested Jose Rodriguez, 34, of San Bernardino, on suspicion of burglary, possession of burglary tools, and an outstanding arrest warrant.
