4th Grader in Georgia Suspended Three Days For Bringing Nerf Gun to Show and Tell :: 08/06/2014

Here we go again. Georgia is only in its first week of the of the 2014/15 school year and we're already seeing anti-gun hysteria rearing its ugly head.

A fourth grade student was told to bring some of his favorite things to play with into a school for a show-and-tell type of assignment.

The boy, Ramsey McDonald, told his father, Scott, that he was going to take a few of his toys into school. According to local media outlet 13WMAZ,

"They told me my son brought a weapon to school and they asked me if I was aware," McDonald said Wednesday. "I asked them what it was and they said it was a plastic Nerf nenfrffgun."

McDonald said had he known his child was planning to take the blue, orange and green plastic toy to class, he would've told the child not to take it.

Ramsey is facing three days of in school suspensions as well as a notation on his academic record that he brought a "weapon" into a school.

This is just the latest example of the zero tolerance hysteria which has swept our nation's schools.
