3 tied to PA Deputy killer's guns :: 08/23/2011

Three people - including the father of the man who killed Berks County Deputy Sheriff Kyle D. Pagerly - were arrested Friday on charges they supplied guns to the killer. Matthew M. Connor, 25, used an AK-47 rifle to mortally wound Pagerly on June 29 behind the Connor home in the first block of Pine Swamp Road, Albany Township, and was then shot dead by police. Following a several-week investigation, state police arrested two people on charges involving that weapon: Connor's father, Maurice L. Connor, 70, a retired Cherry Hill, N.J., parking enforcement officer; and Jared D. Engelman, 26, of the 15600 block of Main Street, Shoemakersville.
