As we observe the people in government that were apparently elected to represent us, I find that many are not actually representatives, leaders, or public servants; they are propogandists.
Merriam-Webster offers a few definitions of propaganda, one of which is:
Propaganda (noun)
-the spreading of ideas, information, or rumor for the purpose of helping or injuring an institution, a cause, or a person
Propaganda does have a negative connotation; however, some propaganda has righteous intent and can be used to educate and motivate people to do good things.
I completely recognize that this very article is propaganda. However, the propaganda here is to influence citizens to empower other citizens to freely exercise their individual rights and liberties without interference from the government. To have the means to protect themselves and their families without fear from the government. I will stand by the notion that this is indeed righteous propaganda.
Smokey Bear and Woodsy the Owl propaganda has taught generations of Americans to be responsible with fire and keep our environment clean.
Some propaganda can be used to promote hate and lies to motivate people to follow the wrong person and/or do evil.
Nazi Propaganda: "One Nation, One Empire, One Leader." – taught a generation to hate. The mural of Iranian Anti-American propaganda doesn’t give you a feeling of duckies, bunnies, and kitty cats.
The sculpture outside of the UN Headquarters in New York City, doesn’t positively promote the individual American’s right to keep and bear arms to defend self and family. Perhaps the sculptor is a “Glock Guy” and feels that revolvers are more prone to malfunction? Maybe?…… Sometimes art is difficult to interpret, but the UN’s track record with actively interfering with American’s Individual freedoms, I’ll bet the artist is not a “Glock Guy”.
Television is probably the biggest tool for propaganda in the modern age. A dear friend of mine in Hollywood who passionately studied propaganda said this to me, “turn off the sound and tell me what you see.” Try this next time on a commercial break. Turn off the sound and report on what you see…. Not what they are telling you. You might be surprised.
As an educator, I can say that MOST folks will remember more of what they SEE than what they HEAR.
Dr. John Lott wrote an article about Hollywood anti-gun media bias and even though the FBI Uniform Crime Report and a myriad of other data sources prove that crimes committed with AR-15’s and actual class 3 full auto firearms are extremely rare, if you watch “The TV” you would think that most psychopathic killers are middle-aged white guys who outgun police with “fully semi-automatic AR14’s” (Thanks for that one Joe). It is a good thing the “bad guy” in the picture below doesn’t have proper cheek-weld.
Data shows that you are much more likely to be killed with a blunt object, knife or even hands and feet. Oddly, Diane Feinstein never pushed for more “Foot Control” …. Nancy Pelosi is not calling for more “Hammer Control”.
In the past I have re-published “corrected” propaganda from various anti-gun / anti-liberty organizations. Often, propaganda says half-truths and partial lies to spin the narrative in their favor.
Propaganda is not only in the visuals.
A consistent unrelenting narrative using specific words and phrases to promote a message is a common practice to influence the population.
It ain’t Violence or Criminal Violence…. It is Gun Violence. Take any negative thing, slap the word gun onto it or next to it, and now you perpetuate the “Guns and Gun Owners are Bad” by proxy narrative. The only exception, ironically, is the term Gun Control. Even though “Gun” is the focus on the outside, a lot of people in the government are more concerned with the “Control” part.
History has proven that the love of Liberty is in our DNA as Americans and tyrants within our own government fear this most of all.
Take away the means to protect Americans from criminals and they will be dependent on the government for their security. Take away the means for Americans to protect themselves from tyrants in the government and they will be subjects. They will be CONTROLLED. The endgame is to take away the means… HENCE the focus on “The Gun” in most of the propaganda we fight.
Recently, a collection of the usual suspects of gun control in the PA Senate, introduced SR23 which recognizes an entire week as “Gun Violence Survivors Week”. Why must propagandists in the Senate continue to focus on “The Gun” when it comes to crime, murder, massacres, and violence? Isn’t it the violence, crime, murder, and massacres that are deplorable? How about the individuals who are committing these atrocities?
The fact is NOBODY should EVER be victimized… NOBODY!
Often, our fellow Pennsylvanians are allowed to be preyed upon by evil. Rather than push to hold the active criminals accountable, and rather than empower Pennsylvanians to take on the responsibility to protect themselves against these very same criminals, many in the halls of government will victimize the victims by using them to promote their agenda. Rather than target the cause of violence, they will prey upon emotion by touting the tragic loss of life to distract the people from the endgame of tyrants.
The fact is, MILLIONS of Americans own and use guns legally, safely, and on a daily basis in our country for good and righteous reasons… MOSTLY to protect themselves from violent criminals and tyrants.
When teaching my defensive firearms classes, after reviewing the “safety rules” I tie everything up with what is known as The Big Picture Rule. The Big Picture Rule goes like this:
Recognize, YOU are in control of a firearm, if you use that firearm carelessly, negligently, or with malice, YOU have the potential to harm or kill yourself or someone else.
This statement is about personal responsibility not “The Gun”. Frankly you can substitute the word gun with, hammer, fist, knife, car, chainsaw, or whatever…. The personal responsibility is the same. It is high time that elected officials hold criminals and the government accountable rather than hold the law-abiding public to the standard of the criminals.
Law-abiding gun owners have a personal responsibility to control their firearms safely, reasonably, and responsibly. This is why law-abiding gun owners do NOT commit the atrocities that the criminals, many of which are allowed to run rampant by our elected officials, commit.
If elected officials are leaders, they will work to address the cause and reasons for violent crime rather than demonize (whether implicitly or explicitly) law-abiding gun owners that choose to take on the responsibility to protect themselves and those that they love.
Firearms Owners Against Crime Institute for Legal, Legislative, and Educational Action is a pro individual liberty/pro-gun rights advocacy organization as well as an anti-crime organization. (It says so right in our name). If Senators Arthur Haywood (D); Amanda Cappelletti (D); Carolyn Comitta (D); Wayne Fontana (D); Steven Santarsiero (D); Christine Tartaglione (D); Jay Costa (D); Timothy Kearney (D); Katie Muth (D); John Kane (D); Sharif Street (D), would truly like to solve the epidemic of crime in Pennsylvania, we as an organization would be happy to work with them.
This picture of girls’ marksmanship training at a High School in Los Angeles, CA is from 1942. People THEN knew in order to thwart evil, lawlessness, and tyranny you must arm the citizens. This has been an American tradition since before there was an America. The “government” NOW knows this too… why else would they be sending arms and ammo to the people of the Ukraine. This begs the question, WHY are so many in government today so keen on disarming the American people?
Next time you see a headline, a news alert, an article title, a commercial, a TV show, turn off the sound and look at what you see. Sift through the BS and recognize the message that the author is trying to impart to you. Are they empowering you to freely exercise your rights and liberties to protect yourself and your family? Or are they promoting fear, limitations, restrictions, and control?
You are a FREE American. You are the best defense for yourself and family and the true 4th check and balance in our Constitutional Republic. Act accordingly!

Reports that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) had been caught red-handed deleting defensive-gun-use statistics from its website at the request of anti-gun “partners” have led to congressional action.
This story was broken by Stephen Gutowski at The Reload. Thanks to a Freedom of Information Act request (FOIA), he received a series of emails showing that three gun-control activists worked closely with CDC officials to remove references to criminologist Gary Kleck’s important 1992 study that showed Americans use firearms for self-defense up to 2.5 million times a year.

NATO’s current Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg, is frantically urging all members to immediately ramp-up production of weapons and ammunition, military ordnance of all kinds!
Artillery shells and small-arms ammunition are in particularly short supply, due to the rate at which they’re currently being consumed in the Ukraine War.
Depending on caliber, each artillery shell requires as much as several pounds of propellant powder (essentially the same as what is used to manufacture small-arms ammunition), and the Ukrainian Army is expending several thousand artillery rounds per day!
In this country, we’ve already sent over to Ukraine a sizable portion of our Army’s inventory of artillery shells, not to mention missiles, rockets, etc. We are significantly drawn-down, and making all that back-up will take years, depending upon rates of production, and current rates of consumption both in Ukraine and for our normal domestic peace-time training.
Other NATO members are no better-off!
The upshot for American gun-owners, particularly reloaders, is that propellant powder (among other ammunition components) is in decreasing supply, and the supply available to civilians may dry-up completely.
Reloaders are well-advised to stock-up now, while they still can. All gun-owners should have adequate stores of ammunition.
The Ukraine War will not be ending any time soon.
In fact, it may be expanding!

Recently, FOAC-ILLEA volunteers joined patriots and citizens for food and fellowship in Hopewell Township at the Republican Committee of Beaver County Annual Lincoln Dinner to sign petitions, recognize Beaver County Republicans, and listen to the wise words of keynote speaker Dr. Alan Keyes. Dr. Keyes’ message of “American’s First” was well received! It was a terrific night of fun and fellowship. We thank the BCRC for the invitation and look forward to working with them in the future to advance the cause of the individual’s right to self-defense.
FOAC-ILLEA President Jim Stoker is organizing a BUNCH of gun law, concealed carry, and personal defense seminars ACROSS THE COMMONWEALTH! He is working with Pro-Liberty elected officials from all corners of the Commonwealth to host our volunteer cadre. Keep an eye on the schedule.

I HIGHLY recommend investing the time in “American’s Founding Fathers” and “The Federalist Papers” both of which were VERY educational and enlightening.
Education is one of our fundamental missions.
Take it upon yourself to educate a friend or a loved one about responsible gun ownership and actual firearms safety. Educate your elected officials about who you are and why you value our 2A and Article 1 Section 21 of the PA Constitution. Be an ambassador of Liberty!

FOAC-ILLEA is continuing to fight for the hearts and minds of our fellow Pennsylvanians to promote individual liberties and freedoms. We are steadfast and resolute and dedicated to protecting our Constitution and advancing the cause of the 2nd Amendment and Article 1 Section 21 of the PA Constitution.
FOAC-ILLEA’s educational efforts are expanding across the Commonwealth. FOAC-ILLEA volunteers are teaching more concealed carry classes each month and additional virtual education events are forthcoming.
FOAC-ILLEA is continuing to fight in the courts. Whether this means new litigation to challenge local tyrants, fight the bureaucrats that make it harder for Pennsylvanians to exercise their most basic rights, or the funding of amicus briefs to support others who are already involved in court battles, we are actively helping to establish case law that will help advance the cause of liberty.
FOAC-ILLEA volunteers research proposed legislation, consult with experts, and offer advice to elected officials about legislation as well as educate the public on the strength or folly of legislation that could have lasting positive or negative effects upon our liberty and the liberty of our children.
