Deer Mismanagement Overview:

Much has been written about the so-called deer wars where hunters have been at odds with PA Game Commission game management policies. The purpose of this information is to shed some light on just why Pennsylvania pursues a top down 'do it our way or the highway' attitude regarding interacting and working with hunters that creates such anger and distrust amongst the very customers the PA Game Commission is supposed to serve.
